Tax Time Saver

For Australian tax practitioners

The meeting's over. The email still takes half an hour.

Tax Time Saver turns a handful of ticks into the client information request you would have written yourself — in your practice's own words, ready to paste into Outlook.

The email writes itself

The arithmetic

Ten to thirty minutes, per client, every season.

Every practitioner writes the same email after every ITR meeting, from memory, from scratch. It is skilled work done slowly: recalling what was discussed, phrasing each request as a question, and remembering the two things the client will otherwise forget.

20 min

Typical time to write one information request from scratch

300

ITR meetings in a modest practice across a season

100 hrs

$18,000

That time, valued at a $180 charge-out rate

Figures are illustrative — substitute your own meeting count and charge-out rate. The point holds at almost any scale: this is the most repeated writing task in the practice.

What it actually does

Not a template library. A phrasing engine.

Templates still leave you rewriting every sentence for this client. Tax Time Saver assembles the prose — conjugating names, pronouns, properties and years as it goes.

89 requests

Every question you actually ask

Work deductions, rental schedules, investment income, CGT cost bases, sole trader and business, private health, HECS. Grouped, searchable, and one click each.

An estimate of how many hours you worked from home during the 2026 income tax year?

Couples

Written for the right person

Add both clients and assign any request to one of them or to both. Names, pronouns and verb agreement follow automatically — no find-and-replace, no "he/she".

An estimate of how many kilometres Kate travelled in her own car for work during the 2026 income tax year?

Rental properties

Addresses flow through everything

Enter a property once. Every rental request picks it up. Two properties are written either as one combined set of questions or grouped separately, property by property.

ATO pre-fill

Paste the report, keep the formatting

Drop in dividend payers, ETF holdings or a list of disposals. Cost-base requests come out as a properly aligned table instead of a paragraph the client has to decode.

Meeting notes

Start from what was said

Paste a summary from any note-taker — Tactiq, Otter, Fireflies, Teams — or your own shorthand. It proposes requests, each showing the sentence that triggered it, and flags anything the client appears to have ruled out. It suggests; you decide.

Client data never leaves the practice.

There is no account, no server and no upload. The whole thing is one file that runs inside your own browser — which matters when the input is a recording of a client telling you about their income, their marriage and their health cover.

Pricing

Licensed per practice, not per seat.

One licence covers everyone in the firm, so there is nothing to police and no reason to ration it. Annual, and it pays for itself in the first dozen emails.

Questions

The things practitioners ask first.

Will it write in our words, or yours?

Yours. The wording was built by reverse-engineering the emails of a working practice, and every generated line can be edited in place before it goes out. On a Practice or Firm licence we set the library to your precedents so the first draft already sounds like your office.

Does it use AI on our client data?

No. Meeting notes are matched against a phrase library inside your own browser. Nothing is sent to an AI service, ours or anyone else's, so there is no question about where a transcript of a client meeting ends up.

What does it need to run?

Chrome or Edge, on Windows or Mac. It is a single file — save it, bookmark it, open it. There is nothing to install, no admin rights required and no integration to configure.

We already have checklists in our practice software.

Most firms do, and they are useful for making sure nothing is missed. This solves the part that comes next: turning that list into a courteous, specific email addressed to two people who own one property between them. That is the half hour.

Can we try it on real client work before paying?

That is the only trial worth having. Use it for a week of actual meetings. If the emails still need rewriting, it has failed the test and we would like to know which sentences gave it away.
